That’s right, it’s time stop grinding, raiding, and looting your life away for a few hours and get your ass kicked at some good old-fashioned board games!
Don’t worry, we’ll have some video games too, and the cheesiest sci-fi flicks that I can dig up…
Sounds like a wonderful opportunity for Puerto Rico, Agricola, El Grande, Aquadukt, TTR, Settlers, and many more. Hmmmmmmmm…..I heart boardgaming.
Unless of course, this was in reference to nasty Ameri-trash Monopoly stuff. Icky icky. I have gone elitist and washed my hands of 8 hour Life/Monopoly games that brought me nowhere.
We’ll be rolling a lil more high brow with some Scrabble, Risk if anyone is man enough, and maybe even some dominoes!
But no obscure elite strategy games, I eBayed my copy of War of the Rings…but I’d like to dig up at least one sci-fi related game to play.
I do have a hankering for some dice rolling and tarvern brawling, but that will have to wait for another night…
You should catch a ride down with Brent and Conrad!
Well the planned, then cancelled, then replanned re-scheduling of my work schedule is now re-cancelled.
I might be stopping by this Friday. Fair warning.
What bad movies are on the playlist? And will the event be streamed online so that the WoW-sians don’t have to miss out on the pwning of n00b horde suxors?
Sweet, we’ll be expecting you…
The playlist is not set in stone yet, but I am going to stick with a Sci-Fi theme. I have a few in mind, gonna do a good range, something really old and cheesy, one from the ’60s or ’70s, and at least one newer one.
Dorkfest will not be streaming, though I might live blog and tweet it a bit, and follow it up later with some snapshots…
Oh, we will have food and games that are sure to frustrate Philsdo to no end!
It was good to see such a solid turnout for Dorkfest 2009.
But it’s too bad that the human race and every other living thing, is on the fast track to extinction…
