Third Person Existential has survived the move and is bigger, faster, and stonger than ever! It still looks like shit, but most everything functions. (Fixed.)
Our old CMS, PHP-Nuke 7.0, was replaced with WordPress 2.3.1. And the forum, which was a modded version of phpBB 2.0.6 that was built into PHP-Nuke, was extrated from the old CMS, and is now running independently on phpBB 3.0. There are still some kinks to be worked out, but when I am done skinning them, they will look the same, and you will be able to navigate between the website and the forum smoothly. (Fixed.)
Because they are independent of each other now, you must log into the forum and website separately. The forum has all of the users in the database still, and your user names and passwords still work just fine. Right now the forum doesn’t like to remember passwords for very long, but I think that this is a problem with the server settings, and I will get it straightened out. (Fixed.)
The website, using WordPress, doesn’t have any usernames or password stored. So you will have to re-register and log in separately. This can be made a little less painful by using the same user name, it will issue you a random password, but you can change it to be the same. This login is only needed to post comments to the news stories, and to write stories. By default, you will be a subscriber, and can only comment. If you want to write news articles, let myself or Levon know and we will upgrade you to an author!
I will be making a few other improvements to the WordPress portion of the website, adding functions to the sidebar. Most importantly, soon there will be a list of the latest 10 topics that have been posted to, just like the original 3PE had. (Fixed.) If anyone has any questions about the new tools, or requests for new functions, just comment on this story.
After 3PE has been completed, expect a new and improved version of Demarcation Terminal soon after, followed by several other websites for myself and other 3PE members!
